Local Authorities

Local Authorities

Local Authorities need to be representative of key groups within their area by including people who are committed to attend and participate in meetings for the benefit of residents and community members.

Deputations

A Deputation Request form can be downloaded here: Deputation Request form.

What happens after I submit my Deputation Request?

  1. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will advise the meeting Chairperson of the receipt of a deputation request.
  2. The Chairperson will consider the request and advise the CEO of acceptance or refusal of the request.
  3. Where there are multiple requests for a deputation on the same issue, we will advise parties of this and reduce the number of deputation requests.
  4. The requestor will be advised in writing of the acceptance or otherwise and provided with the details of the time and date of the meeting.
