CDRC operate community care programs in nine communities to the North of Alice Springs: Lajamanu, Ti Tree, Wilora, Willowra, Laramba, Nyirripi, Yuelamu, Atitjere and Engawala. Under the aged care services, we focused on providing site-specific, culturally sensitive activities and care tailored to meet the needs of elders in remote communities and thereby, individuals can live their lives in all its fullness in their homeland.

As the CDRC Aged Care Nurse, you will be responsible for promoting the Council’s Aged Care services to community members, visiting clients and monitoring their medical conditions, conducting client assessments, updating care plans and referring clients to the ‘My Aged Care’ government portal. Another key duty is to train and support our field staff as appropriate to improve service quality in accordance with program guidelines.
As you will be providing services to some of the Central Desert’s most vulnerable people, we are looking for a nurturing and skilled individual who can perform a wide range of tasks with limited supervision in a culturally competent way. Reporting to the Aged Care Manager, you will be an integral part of the Aged Care Services team, working collaboratively to ensure CDRC services are consistent with client care plans, relevant legislation, the Aged Care Quality Standards and funding guidelines.
