Finance Officer

Northern Territory residents are encourage to apply.

 Salary Level: 6 (74,101.86 p.a.) + 6 weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading + 9.5% superannuation.

Operating under the direction of the Finance Manager and in accordance with Regional Council, corporate plans, policies and relevant legislation this position is able to work across Central Desert Regional Council's finance functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.  

The ideal candidate will have;

Tertiary Qualifications at a minimum diploma level in a relevant field or another qualification and substantial expertise in a similar role.

Ability to organise and prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met.

Demonstrated experience and/or ability to work across all financial functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.

Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industrial agreements and policy impacting accounts receivable or payroll functions.

Demonstrated in the use of information technology, spreadsheets and relevant data base applications.

Knowledge of clerical procedures and office practices.

Strong interpersonal skills, including high level written and oral communications, with an ability to relate appropriately to staff and constitutes at all levels while providing effective client services.
