Work Health Safety Advisor

Location: Alice Springs with regular remote travel to the Service Delivery Centres of the Regional Council.

Operating under the direction of the General Manager People and Culture, and in accordance with Regional Council’s corporate plans and policies and relevant legislation this position is fundamentally responsible for implementing and ensuring WHS compliance with relevant legislation and policy.

Our WHS will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related disciple, and experience in a WHS role.

  • Practical experience in delivering WHS training and building a safety culture.

  • The ability to deliver on WHS across multiple worksites to a diverse staff base.

     

You will be a great communicator, with the ability to drive a safety culture, resilient and open minded with the capability to advise and assist staff in appreciating and complying with WHS requirements.

In return you’ll receive a salary of $81,381.56 with loads of other benefits! This position also attracts superannuation, relocation allowance (if applicable), remote area salary sacrificing options, 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading, an additional 12 days of paid TOIL per year, and 4 additional paid leave days per year.
