Last Thursday (16 April) marked the start of the Atitjere flu shot season with the day promoted by the Atitjere Health Centre as “Get Your Flu Shot Day”. The clinic is hoping to give as many flu shots out to the community as they can. This year is especially important for flu shots in order to help protect the health of the community in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Health Centre allowed Central Desert Regional Council staff to sneak in ahead of normal clinic hours in order to receive their shots, allowing the Works crew to get back to their duties with only minimal disruption.
