Lajamanu Gets 200 New Bins to Help Combat Coronavirus

The Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) Lajamanu Works crew, together with Brad Marshall from the Community Safety Patrol team combined to build and distribute over 200 new rubbish bins to community members and stakeholders.

There were 110 household garbage bins and 100 recycling bins put together and placed throughout the community to replace damaged bins still being used.

This will help keep Lajamanu clean which will in turn help prevent the spread of Coronavirus if it gets to Lajamanu.

The distribution was done to coincide with the completion of new fencing at the landfill which will allow the re-opening of the community drop off bays. The team has been busy cleaning and clearing the new improved drop off bays to provide safe and easy access to community members.
