Lajamanu has Two New Grandstands for Football Oval

in

In these times of lockdown due to Coronavirus, Lajamanu has been able to complete a Granites Mine Affected Area Aboriginal Corporation (GMAAAC) Project. Two new grandstands and an official’s podium have been erected at the football oval.

The grandstands will provide seating and shade for football fans and the official’s podium will be used for the scorers and where the “convenors “ sit – the ones who make rule/judgement calls on the games.

“Once football can resume these additions will be greatly appreciated by the community,” said Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) Community Services Manager Ray Hocking.
