Vets visited Yuendumu at the weekend (13 and 14 June) as part of the Central Desert Regional Council commitment to two vet visits a year to each community. Many dogs and cats were de-sexed, treated for ticks, had teeth extracted and legs amputated. This will leave the pet population a lot healthier.
Some of the dogs helped were Brownie, who had a stomach wound; Long Grass, who had some dental issues; and Jack, who had his broken leg amputated.

The vets also visited Yuendumu in January. One of the dogs helped then was Ben – the Yuendumu resident Dingo.
