I am very pleased to advise that the Council formally appointed Ms Diane Hood to the role of CEO to the Central Desert Regional Council. The Council appointed Ms Hood after an extensive nation-wide recruitment process.
The appointment of Ms Hood follows the decision by our current CEO Ms Cathryn Hutton to leave the organisation after seven years to take an extended holiday and spend more time with her family. The Council has been really pleased with the success of the organisation under Ms Hutton's leadership. We wish Cathryn all the best in her travels.
I am confident that Ms Hood will work effectively with the incoming members and continue to build on the Council's successes.
Ms Hood grew up in Alice Springs and has strong local connections. Having previously worked as a CEO in the Central Australian local government environment, she brings to the role a strong record of leadership within this unique environment.
Adrian Dixon
Council President
