Northern Territory Grants Commission Visit

The Northern Territory Grants Commission will be visiting Central Desert communities from 23 - 27 March, 2015. The main purpose of this visit will be to discuss with Council and communities the funding models, population, and local roads within communities. The Commission will also discuss difficulties that are being experienced in providing services to communities and outstations. This provides the Northern Territory Grants Commission with information to facilitate an ongoing review of the money per capita that is provided to Councils. This ensures a fair spread of funds between disadvantaged counils to the more advantaged councils.
