A new gas barbecue has been installed in Carter Haines Park in Ti Tree as an Anmatjere Local Authority (LA) project this week.
The Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) Anmatjere works crew installed the barbecue, with Elias Birch Baird, John Bancroft Rauwhero and Michael Morozak Smith working under the direction of works team leader Alan Davis.
There are now two barbecues in Carter Haines park - a wood fired one with a large cooking hot plate and the new install of a gas barbecue with a king size stainless steel hot plate.
“The LA funded barbecue will allow community members, tourists and travellers to cook a barbie with ease and enjoy our beautiful little oasis,” said CDRC Anmatjere Community Services Manager (CSM) Jason McKissock.
