Nominations are now open for a supplementary by-election for the Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) ward of Akityarre for a councillor to join the Council until the full elections in August next year. They close at 12 noon on Friday, 16 October 2020. You must be enrolled in the council area to nominate as a candidate.

The actual by-election will be held on Thursday, 5 November 2020, using the using the electoral roll that closed for the Akityarre ward by-election in September 2019. You can check your electoral enrolment at aec.gov.au or call the Northern Territory Electoral Commission on 1800 698 683. Remember, correct enrolment and voting are compulsory.

The Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) Community Development Program (CDP) put in an entry to the CDRC “Working through COVID-19” video competition for National Safe Work Month in October. It is a demonstration of what to do to keep safe when entering a CDP building, and a reminder that CDRC CDP is open for business.
