In August the Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) Yuelamu works crew and office administrator dispatched household gardening and cleaning packages for each of the 43 houses in Yuelamu as part of a Yuelamu Local Authority project.
The packages were well received by the residents and have come together in time for spring cleaning for the community.

Monday 17 August saw the Atitjere works crew and Essential Services Officer (ESO) start their training for a Certificate Three in Local Government (Operational Works). This course covers topics such as Work Health and Safety, Waste Management, Construction and Maintenance of Roads and more in-depth training on communication and the processes involved in working effectively in Local Government. The training is covering subjects in more detail than the crew have undertaken before and will develop skills in planning and preparation for projects and maintenance programs. It will continue every two to three weeks for the rest of the year.
