One of the Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) core values is safety, and this is reinforced by Safety Central, the Work, Health and Safety (WHS) team. In keeping with the theme, Safety Central will be sending communications to staff throughout the month of October, including topics such as injuries at work, mental health, and managing risks.
Teams got together at their monthly toolbox talk to have a yarn over a cup of coffee or tea as part of SafeTea, an initiative of Safe Work Australia. Safety Central sent out a SafeTea basket full of treats for the workgroups to enjoy and encouraged them to have a yarn about the risks and hazards in their workplace.
