The assembly is held annually to provide an opportunity for Local Government Authorities to ‘engage directly with the Federal Government, to develop national policy, and to influence the future direction of our councils and our communities’ – ALGA website.
The theme for the 2022 NGA was 'Partners in Progress'.
“The National General Assembly was a good opportunity to network with other councils and share ideas, raise issues including being presented with the opportunities to hear from Federal Ministers talking on topical issues affecting local government,” said CDRC President, Adrian Dixon.
