It was a close game played on Sunday August 28 and saw Daniel Stafford of Mt Allan take Best on Ground.
At the first break Papunya had taken an early lead by 9 points, but by half time it was dead even. By the third quarter break Mt Allan had snuck out in front by 5 points, and were able to hold on to win by 5. The final scores, Papunya 10.8-68 to Mt Allan 10.13-73.
Central Desert Regional Council President Adrian Dixon presented the cup to the winners.
