In collaboration with Territory Families and CDRC Community Development Program (CDP) they removed abandoned cars on verges and open spaces, and cleared verges of steel/metal, whitegoods and rubbish build up. This included emptying and relocating skip bins to allow disposal of larger household items, as well as the slashing and clearing of open spaces.
“Rodney and his team were committed and with the use of the skid steer and loader sorted through the rubbish and took it away in steel, whitegoods, and household rubbish lots. This has assisted well for easier sorted offloading at the landfill,” said Pane Komene, Program Manager, Council Services – Anmatjere.
Packs of potting mix, garden beds and a garden hose have been provided by Territory Families as part of the project to the houses that have signed up to participate.
