The training was conducted by Civil Train, and also had Rainbow Gateway staff participate.
“We learnt how to operate a skid steer… how to load a truck, to dig a hole and scrap the sides, how to maintain the skid steer. We learnt how to operate an excavator, dig a trench, load up a truck, how to climb up a hill and travel back down, to dig a grave and maintain the machinery,” said Veronica Russo, Senior Coordinator, Council Services, Engawala.
The CDRC participants were Adrian Price and Veronica Russo from Engawala, and Jason Clements from Atitjere.
