Local Authority nominations are now open for Atitjere, Engawala, Lajamanu, Laramba, Nyirripi, Willowra, and Yuendumu. Nomination will close at 9:00am, 18 November, 2015. For more information please see your Community Services Manager.
Local Authorities
Local Authority members will be a link between their community and the Central Desert Regional Council. Community members and anyone living in or around the community can nominate to be a Local Authority member.
Local Authorities are an opportunity to establish a good group of people to speak up for their community.
Local Authorities need to be representative of key groups within their area by including people who are committed to attend and participate in meetings for the benefit of residents and community members.

Please be advised that the Council adopted a budget amendment on the 9th October 2015 that impacted on the following services:
1. Local Road Maintenance;
2. Aged and Disability Services;
3. Children's Services (School Nutrition);
4. Outstation Services;
5. Community Development Program (formerly RJCP);
6. Road Upgrade and Construction;
7. Capital Project Management; and
8. Revenue Growth.
