The amounts shown below are the approximate amount allocated by the Australian Government for care each year for the allocated Home Care Package level and the viability supplement for living in a remote area, which is paid monthly in arrears to Central Desert Regional Council Aged Care Service.

Care management is an important service that includes meeting with working with you and your family to develop your care plan, coordinating care and services, rostering workers and delivering the care that will help you deliver on the goals you identified in your Care Plan.

A package management fee is charged to cover the costs involved with preparing monthly statements managing your package funds and compliance and quality assurance activities required for Home Care Packages.

House Cleaning and Yard maintenance can be brokerage through different service provider and all the other Care services will be provided by the CDRC staff at the Aged Care Centre and the centres will be open for clients from 9.00am to 3.00pm during the weekdays. Services will not be provided during weekends, public holidays and special CDRC Christmas shutdown period.

Charges for meals for HCP clients The Home Care Package Program does not allow for the purchase of food, except as part of enteral feeding (tube in the nose to help with feeding). The HCP can pay for the cost of staff buying the food, cooking the food and delivering the food, but the client must pay for the cost of the food itself which equates to $11 per day.
