They were built using funds from a one-off infrastructure grant from the NT Government.
The Atitjere shade structure is 21 metres long, 14 metres wide and over 5 metres high. It will have an obstacle course style playground installed in the near future.
The Lajamanu shade covers existing playground equipment.
