The awards celebrate the work that the councillors have done for their constituents in the Central Desert region over their 10 year term so far.
The LGANT Convention and annual general meeting (AGM) were attended by President Adrian Dixon and CEO Leslie Manda. At the convention there was a session with NT Cabinet where councils had the opportunity to raise issues and make suggestions on topical matters with the Chief Minister – key discussions during this session were roads, housing, homelands, water and remote policing.
