Wet Weather in Central Desert

There is a Flood Watch at the moment for central and southern parts of the NT, issued by the Bureau of Meteorology. Communities of Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) have experience heavy and constant rainfall, cutting some of them off by road and closing airstrips.
Laramba river flooding has cut off the road out.

First Aid Training at Mulga Bore a Hit

18 Mulga Bore residents gained valuable life-saving skills this Wednesday thanks to a fantastic collaborative effort! Central Desert Regional Council's Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Community Development Program (CDP) joined forces to deliver a First Aid training session in Mulga Bore.

The highest people in Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) and MacDonnell Regional Council (MRC) met with the highest people in the Northern Territory Government as part of their regular networking meeting on Wednesday 21 February.

New Emergency Wardens for Alice Springs Office Kitted Up

Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) has an emergency plan for each of its locations, and each site has a team of people called an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO). This includes a Chief Warden, area wardens for set areas, and a designated first aid officer.

Ti Tree Library Reopens with Celebration

In October the Ti Tree library was reopened to the public after being renovated. The event was celebrated with kangaroo tails, a sausage sizzle and activities by Early Childhood Australia.
