Youth 'Stay at Home' Packs

Some of the contents of the Youth Stay at Home packs.

With more Central Desert residents affected by COVID-19 stay at home isolation requirements, the Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) Youth, Sport and Recreation (YSR) team have created 100 youth packs for children in our region who are currently in isolation due to close contact or illness themselves. Each individual pack contains colouring in books, pencils/markers and small games to keep children occupied while at home.

The new shade cloth.The hot conditions have proved challenging for the Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) Engawala Aged Care cool room. The heat had meant the cool room refrigeration unit was working very hard to keep the temperature at the required level.
